Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist on 2015 Chevrolet Equinox with Factory Roof Rack

I have a 2015 Chevy Equinox with a factory roof rack. I was wondering if the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier item #TH898 will fit my vehicle?

The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist # TH898 referenced in your question will work with factory, round, square or elliptical roof crossbars. However, there are a few crossbar dimensions that need to be present for this system to work.

The Hullavator needs around 28.5 inches of crossbar space. Also, to ensure there will be sufficient clearance between your Equinox and the Hullavator when it is lowered, the crossbars need to extend 4 to 8 inches beyond the feet that support the bars. If the load bars on your vehicle meet these requirements, then this system will work great.

I did also check the online owner's manual for your 2015 Chevrolet Equinox and found that it has a roof weight capacity of 220 pounds with the factory roof rack installed. The Hullavator requires a roof with a load capacity of at least 130 pounds, so there is no issue there.
