The Draw-Tite 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36523 that you referenced is not a confirmed fit for your 2017 Subaru Crosstrek.
For your Crosstrek I recommend going with the Draw-Tite # 76084. This is a Class III trailer hitch receiver with a 2 inch opening that will allow you to use more accessories than the 1-1/4 inch version. If you still would like a 1-1/4 inch I recommend using the Draw-Tite # DT24959.
