Question:

Hi! I think Helium Areo is the lightest bike rack, isnt it? Does it fit well with the Bolt EV Im about to buy? For two women bikes, do I need two Thule bike adapter bars? Is there space enough if I buy a Helium Aero 2, or do I need the Helium Aero 3? Thanks a lot!

For your 2017 Chevrolet Bolt, the Thule Helium Aero 2 Bike Rack, # TH9042PRO, will be a great bike rack for carrying your two bikes. The Helium Aero is a very light rack that will work well for you because of the light weight capacity of the hitches available for the 2017 Bolt.

I also recommend using the Thule Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT, for your woman's frame bikes with the Helium Aero bike rack. The adapter will add the upper crossbar that will allow you to set your bikes on the Helium Aero's hanging arms.

If you are needing a hitch for the bike rack, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 24956, for the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt. The hitch is a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.

Since, the Bolt has a Class I rated hitch you are limited to only using a 2 bike rack. So, going with the Thule Helium Aero 3 Bike Rack, # TH9043PRO, will not be an option for you.
