Hi, do you have any photos of this installed on a mk7 golf r?

I donot have a picture showing trailer hitch # C11564 installed on a 2017 Volkswagen Golf R, but I have an installation video of it going on a golf and I have included it. The # C11564 does have a hidden crosstube so all that you see is the receiver portion of the hitch.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
