Question:

Will these tracks work with a 1997 VW Euro Van Camper. What would be the weight limit? Would intend to carry two 12 ft. Kayaks.. Would that work? What racks would you recomend to use?

The Yakima 60 inch Roof Tracks, # Y01135, are designed to allow you to connect a roof rack system on atypical vehicles or campers/trailers.

If you have the clearance for the 60 inch long tracks, then the Yakima tracks will mount to your Eurovan. You will need to use the SkyLine Towers, # Y00148, to attach any of the Yakima crossbars to the track system. Also, the Yakima Landing Pad 1, # Y00221, is needed to attach the SkyLine towers to the track rack. The Landing Towers are sold in the pair, so one pair for one crossbar.

For a crossbar, I recommend the Yakima CoreBar Crossbars, # Y00422 60 inch bars, with the SkyLine towers. The bars sold in the pair and measure 60 inches long x 2-3/4 inches wide x 1inch tall and have a weight capacity of 220 lbs. The bars have a tear drop aerodynamic design that will cut down on wind drag and noise.

The Yakima CoreBar crossbars also come in different lengths to meet your application. The bars available in 50 inches, # Y00421, 70 inches, # Y00423, and 80 inches, # Y00424.

As for a kayak carrier, I recommend the Thule Stacker, # TH830. The Stacker will give you the option of carrying one or two kayaks on the top of your Yakima rack. The carrier will mount to the CoreBar crossbars with no issues and the Stacker will include load straps and bow/stern tie-downs to secure the kayaks.
