There are definitely options for underbed rails on 2016 and 2017 Chevy and Dodge short bed trucks.

For the Chevy 6-1/2 foot bed, I recommend the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1057-5W along with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3400-5W. This system allows you to use a 5th wheel hitch or a gooseneck hitch and will give you a clean bed when not in use.

Another option is to use the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco Hijacker UMS 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches # DM8551008 along with the Autoslider hitch # DM8550022 in 18K capacity or # DM8550037 for the 21K capacity.

If you have the 2500 or 3500, the Reese Elite puck system # RP30868 along with the Elite Slider # RP30144, are another great clean bed option. This system is not available on a 1500.

For Ram 6 foot bed, the 1500 series doesn't have any underbed options. The 2500 can use the # BWGNRK1384-5W along with the Companion Slider # BWRVK3400-5W. The 3500 can use the Demco underbed rails # DM8551006 and the Autoslider # DM8550022 or # DM8550037. These options are not compatible with RamBox.
