Hello we own a 2012 Ford #350 XLT. Do you know if this rack has ever been used to attach a car top carrier to? Thanks in advance?

Most cargo boxes have a max diameter that they'll fit of around 1-1/2 inches.
The best option we can offer for your 2012 Ford Van then would be a roof rack like the Inno part numbers # INB165 and # INSD which is a confirmed fit and has crossbar dimensions that are compatible with roof cargo boxes like the Sears X-Cargo box you mentioned.
