Question:
I have the Steel Skid wheel that connects to hitch with hitch pin works nice... Id like to find ones however that can go underneath the TT on the bumper which is 3.5inch so would need ubolt that is slightly wider than that? its a tight 3.5x3.5 and I woulld like the steel wheel since Ive seen the red ones crumble by customers. Is there anything like UF48-979017 that will fit over a 3.5x3.5inch bumper? even my receiver hitch its welded to a 3.5inch x 3.5inch add on bumper so none of the 2.5-3inch ones would work. TT is Jayflight 33RBTS so externally 37.5 feet.

Expert Reply:
Skid wheels should not be mounted to an RV bumper, especially to one that was added as an aftermarket item. Skid wheels need to be mounted to the frame or to a hitch that is mounted to the frame. No RV bumper is rated for the kind of impact a skid wheel is intended to withstand.
Your hitch mounted skid wheel like # UF48-979020 is your best bet.
