Question:
I am looking for the best setup for my 5th wheel trailer, I have ST235/80/16 8 lug with Black aluminum wheels I think they are rated for 110 PSI. I heard the best tire is the RST235/85/16 Goodyear G614 G rating and 110 PSI and 4075 LBS rating. I cant find any PSI rating on my wheel but I have looked online and what I can find is that they are rated at 110 PSI. My trailer is not that heavy dry weight is 11000 LBS with a tongue weight of 2600 LBS. People always say run the tires at max PSI but my way of thinking if I run the tires at max PSI with only 14000 LBS max weight I will wear out the center of the tire even if the max PSI is 110 PSI I think the PSI should be calculated per the weight of the trailer so the tire runs on all the tire?

The best tires we carry that are size 235/80-16 are the Westlake # LHWL401. They have a maximum weight capacity of 3,520 pounds at 80 psi. The Westlake tires are set apart from others by their 5-year warranty and 2-years of roadside assistance. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
Trailer tires should always be run at their max psi and should be inflated when cold. If they're not inflated to the max psi this will cause them to wear uneven. Also, the psi rating of the wheel is determined by the valve stem. A valve stem rated for over 100 psi will be metal like # AM20906. For up to 80 psi we have # AM20904 and up to 100 psi we have # AM20907. In my opinion even if you don't need them the metal stems would be best for you. They're more expensive but look a lot better on those nice rims you have.
