Question:
I want to mount two Thule hullvators on my 2017 forester. How long do the load bars need to be? Ive been told that I would need 65inch bars to carry two kayaks. I need the right info. Thanks.

Expert Reply:
The Thule Hullavator part # TH898 takes up approximately 28.5 inches of cross bar space so you would need at least 57 inch bars, therefore the 65 inch bar you mentioned will work. Keep in mind that the Hullavator requires 4-8 inches of cross bar overhang on either side as well.
So for that you would want the # MPG203 for a roof rack confirmed to fit the raised rails of your 2017 Subaru Forester that has 65 inch long bars.
