First, the trailer hitch I recommend for your 2007 E-150 is the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch, part # 41945.
This is a Class V hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening.
The trailer wiring I recommend is the Hopkins Plug-In Wiring # HM11140495. This just plugs into the connection points located behind the tail lights, and then you run the hot lead wire to the positive battery.
The # HM11140495 is a 4-way trailer connector so if you need a 7-way trailer connector you will need part # ETBC7.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
