Base Plate Kit Recommendation that Fits 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 2003 Grand Cherokee and have the opportunity to buy a Roadmaster Stowmaster 5000 with the 1419-5 base plates. I see that for my Jeep that it calls for base plates #1419-8. I have been told that the 1419-5 base plates also will work on my Jeep. Is this correct? Or am I not getting accurate information? Thanks for any help you can give,
