Is 2013 or 2015 Honda Fit Towable Behind An RV?
Updated 05/01/2017 | Published 04/28/2017 >
Question:
I have a 2016 Navion Itasca 24g Mercedes-Winnebago-Itasca. Im looking at a used Honda Fit 2013 and 2015 as a likely towable. They are both automatic. Can these be flat wheel towed or do I need a dolly? Would a manual be better? Thanks

For towing a vehicle behind your 2016 Navion Itasca 24g Mercedes-Winnebago-Itasca, a 2013 Honda Fit is able to be flat towed but has a speed restriction of 65 mph for either automatic or manual transmission. A 2015 Honda Fit is not able to be flat towed in either an automatic or a manual transmission, however it can be towed by a dolly like the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1. I've attached a video of this dolly.
Either vehicle can be towed, and the transmission will just be based only on your preference. I recommend checking the owners manual before you purchase to confirm any other requirements.
