Question:
I have a 2012 Kia Sorento LX 2.4L. I recently installed a towing hitch onto my vehicle and was giving an electrical harness. I was given Curt - custom wiring kit #56151. I was wondering if this is all I will need or there is more I will need. I dont believe I have the factory towing package. Thanks!

Since you have the 2012 Kia Sorento LX with 4 cylinders, you will need to use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56328 if you are wanting to stick with the Curt brand. The wiring kit 56151 that you referenced in your question is only compatible with the 6 cylinder 2012 Kia Sorento LX.
For the Curt Wiring Harness # C56163, you will simply install the connectors behind your tail light housing and run the 12V power wiring up to your battery. I have attached a video of the similar Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness # 118506 (which is also a fit for your Kia) being installed on a 2011 Sorento that you can follow.
If you were only needing a 4-Way wiring harness at the rear bumper of your Sorento, then your job will be done after that installation. If you are needing to use a 7-Way wiring harness instead, then you will want to install the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 as well. I have attached an installation video of this being put on a 2011 Chevy Traverse for you to reference.
The only other thing that you will need to complete your towing setup will be a ball mount, hitch ball, and a hitch pin. I have attached an article which shows how to choose the correct ball mount, and I have also attached links to our selections of each of these products. If you can let me know what size trailer hitch receiver you have, I can make some recommendations for you.
