Would Crank Handle of TJDA-5000S Interfere with Tailgate Opening on Truck
Published 04/21/2017 >
Question:
This might be a stupid question, but here goes: It appears as though the crank is on the front of the jack. Ive never had a side-winding crank on a jack before. If the clearance between the jack and the top of my tailgate as it opens is already close, does the crank get in the way of me opening the tailgate on my truck? I would assume that pulling the crank into the upper position would allow for more clearance. Thanks

The crank on the Square A-Frame Jack w/ Footplate # TJDA-5000S is on the front of the jack. It is very possible that it could interfere with your tailgate fully opening depending on the setup. If that were the case though moving the crank handle to be all the way up would help get around that.
A longer ball mount could help. I attached a link to a page that has all of the longer ball mounts we carry.
