Question:
Can you tell me the interior length of the female end of the HES6 hitch extender? I have a bike rake that does not use a pin to lock but needs a minimum of 4inch ed into the lock. Thanks.

I went out to the warehouse to measure the Brophy Hitch Extender # HES6 referenced in your question. The inside of the receiver portion on the extender is right at 3-1/2 inches in length, so there may be compatibility issues with your bike rack.
Another option to look at is the Brophy Hitch Extender # HES0 that has a longer 10 inch extension. The receiver portion of this extender is closer to 8 inches, so there should be no issues getting the 4 inches you need to secure your bike rack.
Please just keep in mind that when using these or any other similar hitch adapter, the tongue weight capacity of your trailer hitch will be reduced by 50%.
I have attached a video demonstration of this product for you to check out.
