Repairing Air Line for Air Helper Springs

Question:
can you just replace the valve steam end? just cut off the 1/4inch plastic pipe and shove on a new valve stem

If you all you need is a new valve stem and your lines are 1/4 inch then yes. All you need to do is replace the Schrader valve, # F3032-1.
