How to wire electric jack for 6 volt batteries wired in series.

If you have a 12V power jack that you want to power with two 6-volt batteries you will need to wire the two batteries in series in order to increase their combined output voltage to 12V. Connect one battery's positive post to the negative post of the other; then use the other remaining posts for connection to your jack. You will want to make sure that your two batteries have the current capacity required by your jack.

I have two 6V batteries that are attached to my solar panels. Would connecting them so I can attach the electric drop jack interfere in any with the solar panels working? Thanks.
