Question:
Which tow bars is this part compatibly with? Looking at the less expensive ones. E.g. The Curt C19745. Ill be flat towing my 16 Patriot across country once, and so dont really need the high-end equipment. Thanks.

The most economic and safe way to tow a vehicle with a Roadmaster base plate kit like the part # 521441-1 that you referenced is going to be with a Roadmaster tow bar. Otherwise you have to get an adapter to go along with it which adds expense to the setup.
For the price the Tracker part # RM-020 is the one to go with. But you would be happier with the Stowmaster part # RM-501 which has telescoping arms that allow you to relieve tension in the arms when you are connecting and disconnecting which makes thing much easier.
