Question:
The exhaust pipes are lower than before hitch installed. Any suggestions?

According to Curt, when installing the Curt Hitch, # C11510 on a 2016 Infiniti QX50, you have to invert the rubber isolators for the exhaust system when reconnecting the exhaust mount to the hitch.
If you failed to invert these rubber isolators, then it is possible that you vehicle's exhaust pipes might very well hang lower than they originally were mounted. Maybe as much as an 1-1/2 inch lower.
I would double check or even invert theses hangers then reinstall the exhaust to see if this fixes the height issue.
