Yes, you will need to trim a 2-1/2 inch wide by 1-1/4 inch high spot on the bottom of the plastic air dam, and if your vehicle has a rear air dam installed, behind the forward lower air dam, you will need to remove it also. This hitch will only fit the 4 Wheel drive 2010 F-150.
We have not had the opportunity to install this hitch on a 2010 Ford F-150 yet or do a video installation. We do have a link on our site to detailed instructions for you to review.
We also have the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch, item # 65061, which also requires trimming the lower air dam but does not require removal of the rear air dam, behind the lower air dam, if your vehicle has one. This hitch will fit both the 2 and 4 wheel drive 2010 F-150. We have instructions online for this hitch also, see link.
