Question:
Hi I have a hi top camper van with a simple fibreglass roof without insulation. Im interested in the ventline ventadome roof vent. However Im concerned that because its a simple single shell roof the it may protrude to deep internally what are the internal dimensions and can the garnish be cut down in size to assist with this.

The internal height of the Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # V2119-601-00 mentioned in your question is 4-1/2 inches when the lid is closed. The portion of the vent that will sit below the roof when installed is right at about 2 inches. The interior garnish for the vent is not included but is available separately.
I recommend the Ventline Ceiling Garnish # VA0445-34 because it is able to telescope (slide in and out of vent) to fit a range of roof thicknesses. Used with the Ventline Ventadome # V2119-601-00, it will fit roof thicknesses from 2-1/8" to 3-1/4". If necessary, you can cut down the garnish to assist with fitting your camper's roof.
I have included video reviews of both of these products for you to check out.
