Question:
I have a 2010 ram 2500 that I put a 2015 rear bumper on. The trailer wiring is on the right side vs left side on factory 2010. So what I need is a adapter that would extend the factory wiring about 12 inches, and retain the factory plug.

There are a couple of options to extend the factory wiring at the rear of your 2010 Ram 2500 so that it can reach the new connecter opening on the 2015 bumper.
The easiest solution is to use a 5th Wheel Wiring Harness like the Curt # C56070. This will plug in-line with your existing factory wiring and provide an extended harness on the other end. The only drawback on this option is that the Curt # C56070 represents the shortest 5th Wheel Harness that we offer at 7 feet long. So you will need to wrap up a decent amount of excess wire with some zip ties like # DW05727-25 after the necessary length is reached.
Another option is to use the Pollak Wiring Harness Extension # PK11-934. This is much shorter at 3 feet, but you will need to hardwire one end into a new connector like the Hopkins # HM48480. The other end will plug directly into your factory 7-way wiring harness.
