Will Yakima FullBack Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2014 Mini Paceman with Spoiler

Question:

Hi! I ordered this rack the 2, not 3 for my 2014 mini cooper paceman. I was reading through the instructions last night and saw the warning about not using this rack on cars with spoilers. My paceman is listed as one of the fitted vehicles, but hesitant to try with spoiler. Is it ok to have the straps going over the spoiler? There is no gap to run the straps under the spoiler. Please advise - i appreciate your help. Thanks!

You can use the FullBack bike rack # Y02634 on your 2014 Mini Paceman. I checked with Yakima and they do have other racks that will also fit and it appears that the way the racks are positioned on the vehicle there is little tension that will be applied to the spoiler.

You will need to use the straps in anchor mode though for the upper straps because the hooks on the regular straps will not be able to fit due to the spoiler.
