How Does B and W Gooseneck Hitch Attach to Frame of Truck

Updated 02/06/2017 | Published 02/05/2017

Question:

I am build a flat bed for my 04 F-350 dually pickup I was thinking of using this product, I want to have the option to put the 5 th wheel companion in it. I see I cant go any deeper then a 4inch well and the well has to be 20x20inch . What does this need to be welded to , 3/8 plate steel with verticals on the sides? Is there a recommended way to do this to keep the 30,000 lbs rating? Picture is roughly what I want to do

To install the B and W Hitch part # BWGNRK1500 you will need to provide 1/4 thick brace straps to attach the hitch to the frame of the trailer. If you check out the install instructions I attached you can see more about the install process.

The Companion hitch you would need is the part # BWRVK3050 then. This only has a 25k capacity though.
