Trailer Jack for Use in Off Road Conditions

Updated 06/13/2025 | Published 02/04/2017

Question:

Howdy! I have an off road trailer that came equipped with a Fulton FXP10W0301 and I am sorry to say that this trailer jack just does not cut it in an off road situation. I camp in all kinds of conditions and soil types. It seems this jack is made to work on smooth hard surfaces, the wheel just drags when trying to move the trailer in any type of dirt. My question is: do you have a recommendation for a trailer jack that works better on softer surfaces? I have the welded mount on my trailer for this jack and see that you have an adapter plate: Fulton Adapter Kit - Weld-On XP Jack Mount to F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack for 3inch x 4inch Frames. Code:   F500320. Could you possibly tell me the measurement center to center of the bolt holes. Thanks in advance.

The Fulton F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack with Dual Wheels # F1413060334 may get around better in the conditions you're camping it. It will be hard to find a jack that will move that great on soft surfaces though.

The weld-on Fulton Adapter Kit # F500320 mounting holes measure 3-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches.

Good Morning, I am hoping you may also have the backside dimensions of this. Looking for the center piece diameter and how far out it protrudes?

@Will I just went to our warehouse and measured one. The diameter of the center piece at the widest point is 1.75". It protrudes out by about 0.60".
