Etrailer Electric Brake Assemblies like the 12", Self Adjusting # AKEBRK-7R-SA referenced in your question are different than Dexter Brake Assemblies such as # 23-459. The biggest difference is the brake pad material used. Etrailer brake pads use thicker material, and while most pads are "snapped" during the production process, the pads on etrailer's assemblies are cut. This ultimately results in a cleaner, crack free edge that will help extend the life of the brake pads.
The matching Left Side assembly is part number # AKEBRK-7L-SA.
I have included an installation video for your review.
