Question:
Is it possible to use a diode to stop back feed into a brake controller in the event of accidental break away activation and burning out the controller. This is a dump trailer with a full size battery for the hydraulic pump that is also utilized for the power to the break away. Thanks for your help

You could install parking light diode # RM-690 to allow power to only flow in one direction and that would prevent accidental back feeding. The diode is rated for 85 amps on a 12 volt system.
