Question:

Can I use DL24844 3500lb Winch to raise or lower along the 8inch square X 30ft high pole 500-600 lb Led Sign for whenever I need to repair/replace parts. The sign rest on tags at the top of the pole and will free the Winch of the load.

The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch with TUFFPLATE Finish, Two Speed with Direct Drive - 3,200 lbs, # DL15440 will work for your application very nicely, however I have another option for you to consider.

I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Worm Gear Hand Winch with Hex Drive Handle - 2,000 lbs, # DL11001, which uses a worm gear to more smoothly operate the raising and lowering of your sign. This winch will allow you to use an electric drill for faster and easier use and will allow you to have a 49 foot line capacity versus the 30 foot maximum of the # DL15440.
