I understand why you asked your question.
The Optronics Opti-Brite LED Strip Light # ILL71CBAWN is described by Optronics as being sealed and waterproof, and it is also described as being intended for trailer interiors. And yes, it is angled at 45-degree down angle so that it will work well with exterior awnings. At first glance this does indeed appear to be contradictory information but I can assure you it is not.
The light IS intended for installation in sheltered/covered places where it will NOT be hit with the full force of outside weather, such as under an awning or overhang. It could naturally also be used in a trailer's interior. It does have a sealed housing to protect its circuitry from moisture - no matter where it is installed - as do many such lighting products. It does not cost a lot more to produce a light with a sealed housing so makers like Optronics, even when making an "interior" light product, will sometimes give it a sealed housing to help ensure a long working lifetime.
So, you can use this light inside a trailer, along with an awning on the outside of a trailer or as an outside light IF installed in a spot that provides some protection from the elements. I would not recommend it for an external application where it has no protection at all from the elements.
For an unprotected exterior installation you will want to use an LED light rated as submersible. You can see such LED lights on the linked page.
