Question:
Looking for a base plate for a 2016 chevy colorado that I can use the rock shield with. Presently have two other vehs set up to tow a 2005 colorado and a 2006 ford e250 they both have a spreader bar and I can use the rock shield. LOOKING FOR THE SAME SET UP FOR THE 2016. I have a blue ox tow bar rated for 10,000 lb. because of the weight of the E250 instead of the lighter at the time ( when I bought it ) capacity of the road master bar. I'm using the adapter that let's you use a blue ox bar with a road master base plate. Both of the vehicles ( road master base plates ) have the spreader bar which allows you to have the hardware to mount the shield whiçh is the rock guard marketed by roadmaster.

The base plates that will work with your 2016 Colorado are part # RM-523182-4.
These are the EZ4 base plates and feature removable arms. These are also compatible with the Roadmaster Rock Guard you said you have.
