Question:
Hello I have a 13inch Burro camper like a Scamp camper and Im getting ready to add 7inch electric brakes. My tow vehicle is a 2016 Subaru Outback. Can you please recommend a brake controller, and let me know what wiring harnesses I would need to hook everything up. I currently have a 4 pin wire harness to my Burro. Thanks

The brake controller I recommend for your 2016 Outback Wagon is the prodigy P3, part # 90195. This brake controller is one of our most popular because it is easy to install and operate.
For wiring you will need part # ETBC7. This plugs into your 4-way trailer connector and with additional wiring gives you a 4-way and 7-way connector at the back of your Subaru. I have attached a drawing that shows how the wiring is run when installing the # ETBC7 and a brake controller.
I also attached a link to an installation video you can check out. The Subaru in the video is a different year but the installation will be similar.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
