Can Swagman Chinook Bike Rack Fold Up to the Back of a Vehicle When Not in Use

Question:

Hi, Can the Swagman Chinook fold upwards towards the car when it is not being used? I know the hook rod can fold down but can the entire base then fold upwards so that the wheel mounts are positioned vertically and the bottom of the rack is now rear facing? Thanks

Yes, the Swagman Chinook part # S64683 that you referenced can fold up when not in use. If you check out the picture I attached you can see it folded.

On a Rav4 2024 when folded up can the trunk lid open?

@Chris When folded up it would block the rear hatch from being able to open. You'd need to fold it down to get to the rear hatch area.

Does the rack fold up vertically, the way that the swagman xtc2 tilt does? Or does it just remain horizontal when folded? And do I understand correctly, that you cannot tilt it when it's in the folded position?
