Location Of The Connecting Harness For Curt T-Connector With 4-Pole On 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon

2017 Subaru Outback Trailer Light Connection.. Cannot find the plug as mentioned in the video!!! I called and the person told me it was behind the taillight.. Who is correct? Has Subaru made changes?

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C56040, plugs in with a simple connection in the rear of your 2017 Subaru Outback. Unfortunately, according to my tech contact at Curt, Subaru has not been consistant with where this plug is located. He said they have found them anywhere behind the rear seat to under the carpet near the spare tire, to even taped to the wires behind the tail light. The harness is consistent, but the location isn't other than it is always on the drivers side of the vehicle. I've attached a video where we found it about 12 inches behind the back seat under the side panel.
