I have a solution for you that allows you to install a high quality gooseneck hitch in the bed of your 1995 Ford 250/350 without requiring you to determine if you have overload springs.
The Curt hitch part # C60723 is a fit for both spring styles and would be a great option so it would be what I recommend.
