Could Trailer Clearance Lights MCL11RKB Be Used As Turn Signals on Trailer
Updated 12/05/2016 | Published 12/04/2016 >
Question:
Can these lights also be turn signals by running each side to the green or yellow? Was looking to line each side of the trailer with the yellow lights and possibly have each side blink as well when turning.

Expert Reply:
The clearance lights part # MCL11RKB are single intensity clearance lights so if you wanted to use them as turn signals you would need to have the turn signal separated from the stoplight circuit. Most trailers are wired with the stop and turn signal carried on the same wire so you would need a signal converter like the part # 118158.
