Is the tow vehicle drivable after disconnecting from RV but with the Patriot still in place? Will there be room for the drivers feet?

The Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional, # BLU37TR, is not designed to be connected while driving that towed vehicle. The Patriot connects to the brake pedal and will not allow the room to operate or the functionality to operate the brake pedal without removing prior to driving the vehicle. The Patriot clamps to the brake pedal itself, so the pedal will be covered and the actuating arm will also be in the way of driving. It does not take long to install or remove the Patriot, so it will only take a few minutes to give you full access to drive your vehicle after it is disconnected from your RV.
If you are looking for a braking system that does not have to be removed to drive your vehicle that is towed, I recommend the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System, # RM-8700. This system utilizes an actuator box that installs permanently so that you never have to remove, adjust or reactivate. The system connects to your RV and engages car brakes when the RV brake lights illuminate. It has adjustable pressure settings, but that pressure setting only needs to be adjusted once during the installation and does not need to be readjusted so you are always ready to go. I've attached an installation of this system for you.
