Adapter to Go From 3 Inch Hitch of 2017 Ford F-250 to 2 inch HItch

Hello, I am planning on buying the new 2017 f250. All my other trailers are for the traditional 2 inches. 8 heard that the new super duty changed from a 2 inch to a 3 inch receiver. I was wondering if this would work for my new truck and if I need any other things like more pins, etc.

If the truck you buy does have a 3-inch hitch installed on it the Buyers Products Adapter Part # 337RTA302 would be the correct adapter as it will slide into the hitch and provide you with a 2-inch hitch.
A standard hitch pin that you would have for the 3-inch hitch would be all you need to secure the adapter like part # 58388.
Then for a pin for the 2-inch hitch you would want the part # PC3.

Does #38735 3" adapter down to 2" reduce towing capacity? I have a 2" shaft weigh safe drop hitch with 6" drop. Current capacity is: 8000 lbs – 2” ball 12,500 lbs – 2-5/16” ball (2” shaft) 18,500 lbs – 2-5/16” ball (2.5” shaft) 21,000 lbs – 2-5/16? ball (3? shaft) Or am I better to use Item # C45408. Are both C45408 and 38735 compatible with anti rattle? Just checking, with a 2" ball I don't gain anything moving up to a 3" shaft but with a 2-5/16" ball I gain 13k of towing capacity.
