Recommended Adapter Sleeve For Fastway Self-Locking, Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount DTALBM7000

Question:

In 2014 I purchased a DTALBM7000 ball mount for my 2011 Ram with a 2inch receiver. I just purchased a 2017 Ram and realized the receiver is 2.5. The truck come with a 2inch adapter, however the integrated pin on the ball mount does not extend out far enough to engage the 2.5inch receiver. Is there some type of adapter I can purchase or am I SOL. Thank you.

We have just what you are looking for.

I recommend the Adapter Sleeve w Hitch Lock for Fastway Locking Ball Mounts, part # DTADP35. This adapter slips over the shank of your Fastway ball mount and then can be used in your 2-1/2 inch receiver on your 2017 Ram. The locking hitch pin included with this is designed for a 2-1/2 inch receiver.

If you want the adapter sleeve without the locking hitch pin I recommend part # DTADP25-SS.

Either one of these adaptersd will work great with your ball mount # DTALBM7000.
