Question:
Can you recommend a steel mount to attach to my 5x8 Tarter trailer to properly accommodate taskmaster rimmed tire AM30660?

We do have a spare tire mount campatible with your Taskmaster 4.80-12, # AM30660, spare tire. I recommend the Fulton Hi-Mount Spare Tire Carrier, # FSTC1000301. This mount will bolt onto your 5x8 trailer to accomodate that full size spare. It will fit trailer frames up to 3 inches wide and 4 inches high. This mount will give you plenty of ground clearance and will not corrode with its zinc plating.
I also recommend the Master Lock Quantum Self-Coiling, Combination Cable Lock - 1/2" Diameter x 6' Long # 8122D, to secure the tire and the mount to your trailer frame and to deter theft.
