For your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 6 Foot Bed, I recommend the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches, # RP50040-58. The Custom install kits have brackets that are specifically designed for your vehicle. They will mount much easier and include everything you need to install. I've attached a video of this installation as well as included the installation detail instructions.
The custom install kits are vehicle specific and are far easier to use because they they are not semi-custom or universal brackets that require drilling into your frame.
These 5th wheel base rails will work well for you to use with your Pro Series Hitch, similar to the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Round Tube Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000lbs # RP30075.
