How can I determine if my vehicle has these canisters and what are their purpose?

The Curt hitch part # C13422 installs by attaching to the bottom of the frame rails of your 2005 Chevy Suburban. We do not any fit notes that relate to the hitch and any canisters that install on the frame. As long as your truck doesn't have anything aftermarket installed it should fit just fine.
