2000 Rangertrail Tandem Trailer EZ Flex Equalizer Replacement Recommendation

Question:

My trailer has 33inch center to center of hub spacing. It has 1.5 inch rear hangars and 2.5 inch center hangar with a spacing of 29.5with a 7.75 inch wide equalizer, 2.75 inch high . The shackles measure 2 5/8 inchs center to center. the springs are 26. I would like to replace with a E-Z Flex retro fit kit, but the one with the 7.75inch equalizer says it is for 35inch axle spacing. Should I use the 5 5/8inch kit or the 7.75? Also will the shorter 2.25inch shackles that come with the kit affect anything. Thanks for your time

When picking out EZ Flex equalizers the most important factor is picking out the one that matches the dimensions of the current equalizers. Since yours are 7-3/4 inches long the correct kit is the part # K71-653-00. This will work well for you even though your axle spacing's are different.
