Recommended Thule Tire Chains for a 2007 Infinity M-45 with 245/45-ZR-18 Tires

Updated 11/17/2010 | Published 11/16/2010

Question:

I have a 2007 Infinity M-45, rear wheel drive, with Michelin 245/45 ZR-18 radial X tires on it. Will these chains # TH00023104 fit? If they will, is this the best choice for my tires, or are there better options for ease of installation and self-adjusting, etc.? If these dont work for my tires, what would you recommend? Thanks!

Yes, the Thule CG9 # TH2004205104 tire chains would fit the 245/45-ZR18 tires on your 2007 Infiniti M-45. These would be a really good choice, as they are low profile to prevent clearance problems, and they have a self-centering, self-tensioning system, meaning that the installation is extremely simple. You would basically be able to loop the chains around the tire and drive away.

I would definitely recommend that you check your owners manual to make sure that the use of tire chains is permitted on your vehicle, as sometimes the use of chains is prohibited due to clearance issues, etc.

We also offer the Thule # TH2004125104 snow chains, which are very similar but include asymmetrical diamond-pattern chain with icebreaker reinforcements, which work well for more extreme weather situations. These would be a bit thicker than the CG9 chains, so you would need to ensure that the chains would not come into contact with the under side of the vehicle once installed.

I recommend taking a look at our Tire Chains FAQ, viewed at the link provided, for more information.
