Multipurpose Ball Mount That Does Not Reduce Hitch Capacity
Updated 11/01/2016 | Published 10/31/2016 >
Question:
Further to my question re the \MT70070, to which you clarified towing and tongue weight limits are cut to 1/2 due to it being a hitch extenderinch I will need to look for another alternative. What about the D210 style hitch or something similar with more spacing separation, see below with its attached 2nd receiver hole. Will using this also derate the available tow rating and tongue weight by 1/2. Finally, is there a similar product but where the 2nd higher opening is higher ie provides more separation from the main tow ball height to allow a trailer to be uncoupled without removing bike rack or carry all rack from the upper opening. If so could you provide me a model number as I dont see this on the site

The Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 is the only such item we offer that does NOT reduce your trailer hitch capacity. Items like the MaxxTow MT70070 do reduce hitch capacity. We do not have an item like the D210 that offers more vertical clearance between the ball mount and the accessory receiver.
