If your 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup has a factory-installed 7-way trailer connector, then the reverse light circuit should be connected. The common configuration for RV-style 7-way sockets is for the center pin to carry the reverse light signal. Please refer to the linked photo that shows the function carried on each pin.
If you have a circuit tester like # PTW2993 you can test the truck connector to see if a reverse light signal is present. Have a competent helper start the truck and shift it into reverse while pressing both the brake pedal and the e-brake to ensure your safety while you apply the tester. The linked video shows how the tester works to tell you when a signal is detected. Apply the tester's ground wire to the ground pin at the 7-o-clock position inside the socket; then apply the probe end to the center pin to test for the reverse light signal. (This is a good time to test all the other functions since you're already there with the tester; again, refer to the photo for which pins carry which functions.)
If you do not have a signal on the center pin check the legend on the lid of your fuse box in the engine compartment for an indication of which fuse location(s) support trailer tow package lights. You may simply need to insert a fuse of the specified value or replace one that has blown.
If you do not get a reverse signal you can disconnect the wiring from the rear of the 7-way, where the round U.S. Car connector plugs into it. In the same way as noted above test the center pin on that U.S. Car connector. If you do not get a signal at the socket but you do at the connector, then your 7-way socket is bad and should be replaced with a new one like # PK11893.
If there is no reverse light signal at either place then go the route of checking that all required fuses/relays are present.
