Yakima SKS Control Key Will Not Fit into Lock

Question:
Key I ORDERED TO RELEASE CORE SO i COULD FIND KEY NUMBER WILL NOT EVEN GO INTO THE LOCK.

I reached out to my contact at Yakima to see if they had any suggestions and the first is to verify you have a Yakima SKS(Same Key System) lock. If the lock number is visible on the outside of the lock core then it is not an SKS lock. In this case your Replacement Control Key # Y8007835 will not work.
Also, the Control Key is designed to be used when the lock is unlocked. If it's currently locked the key will not work for you and you'll be better off contacting a locksmith.
If neither of these are the problem, let me know so we can continue to search for a solution.
