Is this carrier easy to remove and reinstall at the hitch? I want to be able to switch between another hitch mounted carrier and a bike carrier.

The Yakima 2 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack # Y02457 will be very easy to remove from the vehicle's trailer hitch receiver. This rack is secured by a simple pin and clip that will not require any additional tools to install or remove. Additionally, the rack weights approximately 32 pounds on its own, so it will be pretty light to install and remove.
You could add the etrailer Hitch Pin Alignment Collar for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 1-1/4" Hitches
Item # e58ZR to help line it up quickly without getting on your hands and knees. This stop collar automatically aligns the hitch pin holes on your hitch and a 1-1/4" accessory. Once installed, it doesn't need to be adjusted.
A cable lock, such as the 10 Foot Long Cable Lock # e98891, is a good way to lock your bikes to the rack to prevent theft of the bikes when you go in a restaurant or stop at a gas station.
