Review of the etrailer Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier Hitch Pin Alignment Collar

AJ: What's up everybody It's AJ, with Today, we're going to be checking out this hitch aligner. Now this is for 1-1/4 hitches. And this is going to do, is this collar is going to go around whatever accessory you're putting in your 1-1/4 hitch and help you line up perfect every single time. So let me go ahead and pull this out and show you what I'm talking about. So normally you have to look on the side as you put this ball mount in it to kind of see, Oh, is that hole lined up And you can go too far in, and you have to do it over and over again. With this collar, I can just do that.

I'm not even looking. The holes lined up. And it's right every single time. One of the nicer things about it is that it's easier to install. You just have these hand knobs, you can loosen up, and you can completely loosen them.

You can slide it off like that. You could loosen one side and just kind of swing this bracket over and do it that way if it's already installed in the vehicle, you can easily do that. There's no tools involved at all. So I really liked that part. So you just need this to put it on your accessory, and tighten down with your hands. We have one that works for two inch hitches, so there's a lot of accessories.

I really like these with cargo carriers, on the bigger ones, because you're already lifting that big thing up, trying to slide it in the hitch and then to align it, you just keep missing that hole, you have to kind of looked to the side. It can be a real pain. So I'm glad that they made it for 1-1/4 too to make these accessories just as easy. Now to show you what I'm talking about. We're going to get a little bit bulkier of a bike rack and see how that works. We've got the hitch align collar loosely installed on here.

That way I can just line up the anti-rattle bolt hole with the hole in the hitch. So this is going to kind of show you how long it takes to do this on your own. You got to work it in there. You can see that lines up pretty good there. Then you make sure anti-rattle pin goes in.It's hard to go in there. So I think that's lined up right there. So what I'm going to do is tighten this down on both sides. Give it a couple extra turns, it doesn't have to be super tight, but I want to make sure it doesn't go anywhere when it hits the edge of the hitch here. And now I can show you by taking it back out. The collar will hit the hitch here, I didn't have to look, now I know that's lined up, going to add my anti-rattle bolt. And once you're getting that installed once, it's going to be that easy every single time. You can just slide it in there and wait for it to hit the collar. And you know it's all lined up, then you can add that bolt in there. I can't recommend this enough. I really liked that it's added on to a bunch of the bike racks and cargo carriers that Etrailer has. The two inch one, so if you're looking for something like that, we offer that one too. You can get that for those two inch accessories. If that's what you're looking for as well. Either way, it's a really good investment. And it's going to help you to save time before you go on your adventures. Well, thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helped..
