Question:
I have a waverunner trailer and I want to replace my tires and rims. The tire says TowMaster 5-70-8. Will the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8inch Galvanized Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C - AM30070 fit my trailer? Thank you.

It sounds like your waverunner trailer has the 5.70-8 trailer tire on it.
The smaller 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Tires # AM30070 you referenced would fit your 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern but may not be compatible with the weight rating of your trailer and waverunner. The Load Range C # AM30070 has a capacity of 760lbs at 90psi for a total axle weight of 1,520lbs. If your trailer and waverunner are within these limits then this combination could work for you. Keep in mind that you will also lose about 2 inches in ride height which may affect the coupler/ball mount you currently use on your vehicle to pitch up when it should be level.
We do offer many 5.70-8 trailer tire combinations for your 5 on 4-1/2 wheel bolt pattern in Load Range B # AM30110 (715 lbs at 50 psi), C # AM30150 (910 lbs at 75 psi), and D # AM30156 (1,075 lbs at 100 psi). I have linked them to this page for your convenience.
You can see that your options are extremely limited when downsizing trailer tires. I personally do not recommend downsizing. If there is a particular reason why you are thinking about downsizing, let me know why, and the loaded weight of your trailer, and I will be glad to try to make the best recommendation possible for your application.
